APPETIZER: Breaded Shrimp w/cocktail sauce, 10 shrimp
MAIN COURSE: Portuguese Plate w/ Teriyaki beef, scrambled eggs and Portuguese sausage.
SIDE DISH: One white rice ball and a small poi.
BEVERAGE: Iced Tea
DESSERT: No room
COMMENTS: -Shrimp and sauce both probably commercially available in stores, still acceptable
-Teriyaki beef: definitely not from corn fed cattle. Good flavor
-Portuguese sausage: similar to some andouille sausages I've had
-Poi, flavor, first time for me, the owner suggested using it as a spread on the sausage.
OVERALL RATING: Good, will go back again.

Main Course:
Pork Laulau Plate: authentic food of ancient Hawaiians, wrapped in taro leaves and steamed.
It was a small amount of pork with considerable fat and leaves. What little pork was there was good, but it was a very small amount. I also am not a great favorite of fat.
White rice. I will try the fried rice next time.
No alcohol, so I had iced tea.
Dessert: Haupia, a coconut dessert, much the consistency of flan. Very good.
Rating: deserves a return trip. One of the offerings is a Portuguese Plate with Teriyaki beef, scrambled eggs, and choice of Portuguese sausage or spam.
Bob had the Kalua Style Pig Plate, shredded smoked pork which he said was good

I went to Lani's Luau for an anniversary dinner and we were delighted by the fantastic food. This all Hawaiian menu is an absolute treat, and full of flavors only offered on the islands, with a sprinkling of Asian tossed in. The owner is a former resident of Hawaii, and has clearly honed his skills as a fantastic chef. Please don't be disappointed by the lack of ambiance, we were treated like royalty and will return soon. Oh, yeah, and this restaurant won't break your wallet.
